The ASDSO Scholarship Program

The ASDSO Scholarship Program
The Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) Scholarship Program, established in 1992, awards annual undergraduate scholarships of up to $10,000 to U.S. citizens enrolled in accredited programs in engineering or related fields and planning careers related to the design, construction, or operation of dams.

2011-2012 Scholarships
 - Undergraduate students planning to graduate in May/December 2012 are eligible.  Application Deadline: March 31, 2011. Winners will be announced in June.  Download the application form.


Other Scholarships
The United States Society on Dams (USSD) annually awards one or two scholarships to U.S. college or university graduate students whose research studies have a potential for developing solutions to design, analysis, construction, operation, safety, environmental, maintenance and rehabilitation problems related to dams. The Scholarship Program is administered by the USSD Committee on Scholarships.  Graduate students from U.S. academic institutions are invited to apply. Applications are encouraged from all fields of study related to USSD activities, including civil engineering, environmental and social sciences, water resources management, etc.

SCUREF Announces Two Fellowship Opportunities

The South Carolina Universities Research and Education Foundation (SCUREF) has announced the Rickover Fellowship Program in Nuclear Engineering and the Nuclear Forensics Graduate Fellowship Program. The application deadline for the Rickover Fellowship is January 15, 2011, and the application deadline for the Nuclear Forensics Graduate Fellowship is March 1, 2011.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. / Engineering Scholarship Opportunity for Current Female College Students in Rhode Island

Theta Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is currently accepting applications for its new Women in Engineering Scholarship Program. Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university in Rhode Island, and must be majoring in engineering or a closely related field. This program is an awesome opportunity for minority students pursuing degrees in the majors below to obtain up to $15,000 in scholarship assistance as well as a paid internship with Marathon Oil.

NOTE THE TIGHT DEADLINE. The program closes on NOVEMBER 1, 2010 and all students must complete applications prior to that date.
