The University Relations team at Genzyme, one of the world's leading biotechnology companies, would like to personally invite Brown students to apply to our 2011 Summer Internship positions.  Genzyme’s Summer Internship program offers exposure to a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Our interns work side-by-side with biotechnology industry professionals, providing an opportunity to make an impact in the lives of patients around the globe.   

Research Internships

·         Work in a team environment to support discovery research through the development of novel therapies for unmet medical needs

·         Positions are offered in Drug Discovery, Drug & Biomaterial Research & Development, and Genetics & Genomics

Engineering/Manufacturing/Operations Internships

·     Collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists to conduct manufacturing activities and experiments related to process development by implementing corrective actions

·     Work in compliance with cGMPs including process characterization, process modeling, validation testing, product investigations, SOPs, and data mining and management

·     Contribute to technical reports and presentations

Health and Safety Internships

·         Positions are available to interested candidates who are flexible, self motivated and willing to work on a variety of projects in the areas of Ergonomics, Accident/Incident Investigations, Air & Noise Monitoring, and Emergency Response
